Hi There!
I am a Board Certified Health and Wellness Coach, Functional Medicine practitioner and RN. I received my BSN in Nursing from Boston University. I was part of a Harvard Research team at Massachusetts Mental Health Center, studying depression. I later worked at Brookhaven Memorial Hospital, in their in-service education department, doing Crisis Intervention and teaching the principles of Hospice care. I became a Certified Health Coach at the school for Integrative Nutrition, and a member of the American Association of Drugless Practitioners. I am currently studying at the School of Applied Functional Medicine, where I have completed my 2nd level.
I have been drawn to the healing profession, in both traditional and holistic methodologies, my entire life. Losing my Dad to esophageal cancer, and being diagnosed with Celiac myself, experiencing first-hand the suffering that goes along with chronic health issues and the type of care that’s typically available. I became drawn to functional medicine. A practice of getting to the” Root Cause “ of your health challenges, and not just treating symptoms! Together we can investigate what your unique body is telling you. We can make a plan to help you achieve your goals and get you on a path to living your best life, enthusiastically, and aging with Attitude!

“Working with Jan has been a real gift. Over the course of our work together, she helped me re-evaluate my diet and take a good look at what I was eating and how it correlated with various (unhealthy) symptoms I was having. Ones that I had begun to think were just “normal”. Together we created a plan to get me off of OTC medications, improve my diet, and find other ways to practice self-care.
